Our goal is to play beautiful music to the glory of God.
Our choir started in 1997 with a two octave set of Suzuki chimes. Four years later, funded by generous donations, we bought a three-octave set of Schulmerich Handbells. At that time, the choir was made up of members of Lighthouse Church.
Thanks to even more generous donations, we have five octaves of Malmark chimes and four octaves of Schulmerich Handbells. Our choir now has 11 members.
Eight of our choir members are from other churches, and are generously giving of their time to play in our choir until 8 permanent members come along.
If you can count to four, you can play handbells! We have taught several players with no previous music experience. Playing bells is a lot of fun, so come and let us teach you to play!
Each practice starts with stretches, back rubs, and prayer. Mid-way through we take a candy break! Come try it! Practice is on Monday evenings, 7PM to 8PM in the Fellowship Hall.
Our choir typically plays at the opening of worship service (10am) every 4th Sunday – from October through May. We take the summer off.
